OA Call & NPC Design Contest

1) We're looking for additional Official Artists!
We're seeking out two (2) additional Official Artists for the World of Lingua (collective) species. All relevant information on related responsibilities and benefits are outlined in the form below.
To apply, simply fill out this Google Form!
Applications will be open for 2 weeks, until February 1st at 11:59pm EST.
2) We're hosting our first ever NPC Design Contest!
For our second bullet point, we have a certain Donation Shop in need of a new handler... maybe you can help?
Rules
- The created character/design must have some relevance to the Donation Shop, as it will serve as its NPC.
- A user may design up to 3 characters, 1 of each species (Paralogos, Whiffling, and Triceridos). Wicked Paralogos and Maverick Whifflings are not allowed.
- THERE IS NO NEED FOR WORD, IDIOM, OR SCENT APPROVAL - as long as it is not already claimed ON THE MASTERLIST - it is free game!
- Admins will help work with the winner if there is an issue with their original concept to legitimitize the design.
- The winner will be determined by popular vote after the submission period is over.
- The chosen winning character design as the new shopkeeper will transfer ownership to mewhaku for use as a group NPC.
Prizes
- The winner of this contest will receive the option of either:
- Any level of MYO slot item (from any species) other than a Wicked or Maverick MYO Slot
- A Whiffling Breeding Slot
- or a custom design of similar levels from mewhaku
- 3 Runner Ups from the final vote will also (if they would like) have their runner up designs made official for themselves to keep and enjoy
- If your design(s) did not win you will have the option to buy design-bound discounted MYO slots after the contest is over if you'd like to use them yourself!
- This contest will run until February 28th at 11:59pm EST.
- Submissions go into the NPC Contest 2025 gallery folder.
- A special Memento collectible item will be given to everyone who enters the contest!
3) Other News
We've got two other things we'd like for you to be aware of:
- We've got a new Free to Use Base, courtesy of Jingletail!
- Our Member Survey and the associated Breeding Slot Raffle ends tonight, at 11:59pm EST - if you want to enter, make sure to fill it out before then!

Hi all! In the wake of the lineages extension being added to the site, we wanted to release some breeding slots for you all and we thought of a fun way to do it- we'd love to hear your feedback on how things are going!
New year, new thoughts- so why not share some and get entered into a raffle for your choice between either a Whiffling Breeding Slot or a MYO item of your choice (excluding Maverick/Wicked).
There will be a total of 3 winners!

January News [Site Updates!] and Spotlight

UPDATE: We now have the "character lineages" extension, which means that Whiffling parent/child relations based on breedings are now tracked on their masterlist entries!
These relations were filled out retroactively for all Whifflings. For an example, check out WHIFF-83-Burnt-Grass who has both parents and a child (visible in the lineage menu on the lefthand side)!
(If you find a bug / incorrect listing or similar, please either file a bug report or let us know in our discord!)
It is an entirely New Year! Go figure right? Where does the time go?!
We actually have many updates for you this fine month of January, so do read on.
Firstly, thanks to draculaelliot 's aid, we have gained the Donation Shop add on for Lorekeeper. We'll be setting up artwork and an NPC taking care of that wonderful and giving location within the month. Now that we are more on track with how to add certain add ons and updates, look forward to upcoming additions!
Second, we'll be releasing a Staff Adoptable (ELEMENTS) sale today at 12pm EST. Not too long after this post comes up! While things have been busy lately for the staff and Mew in particular, look forward to hopefully more frequent releases as we go through this year.
Third, we now have the automatic birthday rewards extension speaking of additions! This means that the site will now automatically distribute mysterious simple bags on your birthdays - however, this requires you to set your birthmonth to visible in your account settings. If you do not have it visible, you will not get your birthday bag going forward!
The current Prompt is: New Year, New Goals - Cleaning up 2024!
This year [and likely continuing years], we will have a scaling reward system [not a raffle] for Prompt participation. See the prompt's details for more information! Because these months are now bi-monthly (as in there are 6 prompts TOTAL for the year), the details have changed.

Where did the time go?!?!! Somehow we've blown past Spooky Month [mewhaku screams in the distance] and we're truly entering the Fall season now.

We have entered the month of September !
EDIT: We bring a surprise update to the Redesign Information Page as well thanks to Mouse! We now have some rare Whiffling items available as well in the Black Market. You know, for the right price...
We have also come to the decision as admins that the Large Twin Potion item should double as a design update item. As of this posting, you can use this item to update your Whiffling to a Twin-based design. Currently, there is not an item to de-twin a Whiffling. Please keep this in mind when designing!

Hey everyone!
Because of popular demand, we decided to host a contest all about creating fun and relatable World of Lingua memes!
What are we looking for?
World of Lingua related memes!
(example meme kindly provided by Jingletail)
Anyone participating will get a memento (tba) and a small participation prize!
Requirements:
1) Has to feature a Paralogos/Whiffling or otherwise relate to the World of Lingua group in any way
2) has to be 100% your own art (although you can of course directly reference existing memes, do draw-overs, etc.)
3) has to fall in the general category of "meme" or otherwise communicate a funny and/or relatable situation/experience.
Note: You may submit memes that do not contain any artwork (f.e. memes where only text is edited, copypastas, etc.). As long as you have put some amount of work into making it WoL-related, it can count! However, please be aware that you would not gain regular currency rewards for these types of submissions.
Characters you can use for your entries:
- One of our many NPCs!
- You can also use one of your own character or someone else's (with explicit permission!)
What can you win?
Each winning meme will be rewarded with one (1) Fancy Mysterious Bag!
How are winners determined?
Since the question of whether a meme is funny and/or relatable is very subjective, the winners will be determined via popular vote.
After the deadline has passed we will put all viable entries into a google form for all members to vote on for one (1) week.
Winner memes will be determined based on the highest amount of votes.
How many winners will there be?
We will start out with 3 winning memes.
For every 5 entries after the 10th entry we will add another winning meme!
Theoretically, a member could win multiple times if they submitted multiple entries.
How do you enter?
You can make a maximum of 3 entries.
To officially submit an entry, upload it to the Meme Contest 2024 gallery folder. No additional prompt required!

We have entered the month of July ! And we still have our yearly Pride Event post here. This will be going on for 1 additional month (till the end of July) as a special bonus! This can ALSO STACK with Art Fight Rewards. We also have continuing from last month our Meme Contest too!
