As it is March 7th...

We'd love to celebrate a bit, considering this day is the 6th Anniversary of the Paralogos Species! 

mewhaku (Mew, aka me) would like to give back a little bit and hand out some gifts to celebrate the species!

With the roll of the raffle... the winners are in order:

You will be contacted by mewhaku within 24 hours, as first she'll need to dole out the ink gifts and Mementos to all others involved!

In honor of the anniversary, and our site growing so large, we've released a special set of Memento Collectible Items. These can be claimed (including the 6th one, if you didn't already enter the raffle) via the Claims feature. 

In order to Claim an Anniversary Memento, all you need to do is provide a proof of your earliest year of activity in either the ParalogosDictionary OR Whifflings groups (artwork you may have made before membership can also count if you joined within the generally similar timeframe- say 6 months and continued to be an active member) and add it to the Claim's Comment section. This is due to the fact that we didn't have these items in earlier years, but going forward to claim future years you will need to be a site member / group member at minimum. 

Then, on the Rewards area of the claim, please select your Mementos you qualify for. You would be awarded the Memento from that year of activity, and any years after. (You qualify for the Memento starting with the year of activity- so for example, you joined 2017, you qualify for 3-> on. If you were available for 2018 you'd get 4-> on.) 

Also, as mewhaku came to realize the 1st year of activity was a bit scarce... anyone who qualifies for the 2nd year (2016-2017) will also receive the first year's Memento. (Otherwise it looks like mewhaku , Speedy, and Cloudsteps would be the only ones getting the 1st year award! But a special shoutout to those individuals all the same.) 

The reward of 6 ink per raffle entrant will be rewarded alongside the 6th Anniversary Memento as part of that grant. So thank you for your patience!  And thank you all for coming together to make this group and site what it is... a personal note from my (mewhaku) heart, I am so thankful for each and every one of you. Truly. ;_; 

What a blast to the past! How far we've all come!

The Prizes for this Raffle will be the following:

We have 6 Whifflings we're going to raffle off, the raffle will be rolled on the Spring Equinox (March 20th). These Whifflings come pre-designed,  some including additional artwork from their previous owners.

Today we've got a big and exciting update for you all!
Not only are we opening Whiffling MYO submissions - we also fully migrated the Caretaker System to the website!
With this, the Paralogos ARPG now 100% functions via worldoflingua.com!

This updated consists of several minor process changes amidst the big additions, so we'll lay it all out in detail in this news post!

Whiffling MYO Submissions are now open!

You can now purchase Whiffling MYO Tickets from the new Whiffle Wares shop and submit MYO designs for approval!
To learn more about how the Whiffling MYO Process works, please read the freshly updated MYO Process Guide!

We furthermore added a new Whiffling Design Guide which explains how the Whiffling species works and what kinds of designs are possible!

With this, Whifflings are now fully functional on worldoflingua.com!
However, we're still working on implementing non-essential features such as the Breeding System and achievements, as well as pet magic!
 

The Caretaker System has been migrated!

Caretakers can now be registered on-site!
To do so, we've added a new item called a Caretaker ID that can be automatically converted into a Caretaker MYO Slot!
Caretaker IDs can be obtained for free in both the Ink Market and Whiffle Wares shops.

We furthermore migrated Caretaker Status Changes as well as Caretaker Co-Ownership Changes to the site, which are both implemented via a new Caretaker Status Changes prompt.

Various Minor Changes

1) Co-Ownership: The way Caretaker co-ownership works has changed from dA times because of the way Lorekeeper organizes ownership information.
Each co-owned Caretaker requires one owner to be the primary owner (the one whose account the Caretaker is on).
What exactly "primary owner" implies and how changing primary ownership works is explained in detail on the updated Caretaker Annex!

2) Companion/Pet MYO item transformations: Companion and Pet MYO items can now be automatically transformed into MYO Slots!
This means that, instead of having to submit the item to a prompt, you can simply select it from your inventory and "open" it to transform it.
The exact functionality of this is explained in the freshly updated MYO Process Guide!

3) Tier 1 Magic: If you add Tier 1 Magic to a Paralogos via your MYO submission, we now ask you to please add the "Tier 1: Neophyte" trait in the "traits" section!
Furthermore, we've clarified in which ways you can give a Paralogos Tier 1 Magic on the Magic Annex!

4) Magic/Wisdom Submissions: We noticed that our User Guide was a little unclear on how magic/wisdom submissions work now, which is why we reworked that passage of the guide.
Specifically, we ask you to provide the tier and exact wording of newly learned magical abilities or for wisdom the specific task answered in the description of your gallery submission.
Going forward, magic/wisdom submissions without this information will be rejected.
 

Upcoming

The Spring Whiffling Raffle results will be announced tomorrow!
Furthermore, the Paralogos Anniversary Raffle is still running until March 31st!

Our next priorities include re-implementing the Membership Card discount and creating a fully illustrated Paralogos Design Guide (similar to the new Whiffling Design Guide).
We'll also work on setting up the Whiffling Breeding System and achievements, as well as the Pet Magic System.

The Gallery is finally here! The time of having to submit art via dA has found an end!
This also means that you can now earn Bottlecaps for Whiffling artwork!

From now on, every member who is registered to worldoflingua.com has to upload their art to the gallery in order to earn the respective currencies for both themselves and potential receivers of their art!
Meaning, if you f.e. draw gift art for another member, you will upload the piece and both of you will receive the earned currency automatically - no need for the receiver to also submit it anymore!

If you receive art from off-site artists, please submit it to the Off-Site Currency Rewards prompt the way we previously had you submit every piece.
Note that this is only for art made by artists who are not registered to worldoflingua.com!

How to submit art/writing to the gallery

1. Go to the gallery and select the folder that your art belongs into.
2. Click on the “+ submit” button.
3. Upload the art file and/or paste the text in the “text” section.
4. Add a title (& optionally, a description for the piece).
5. Add all the displayed characters in the “characters” section via their character codes (f.e. PARA-01-Ginkgo or WHIFF-100-Ginkgo).
6. Select the exact type of art in the “Group Currency Awards” section (f.e. “Digital Art / Clean Lines / Full Body / Colored / Shading” for a shaded digital fullbody artwork).
7. If you’ve drawn at least one (1) character for someone else: add their website username(s) in the “other participants” section & specify their role(s) (f.e. “gift for”).
8. If the piece was a collaboration: add your collaborator(s) in the “collaborators” section & specify their role(s) (f.e. “lineart” or “colors and shading”)

Magic / Wisdom / Monthly Prompt Submissions

You will still have to submit your art to the Magic Progression / Wisdom Tasks / Monthly Prompt prompt after uploading it to the gallery in order to get your bonus Ink rewards and/or get your magic/wisdom officially added/approved.
You now have to use the link to the gallery submission instead of a dA link in the URL section.

This is not a full release of Lorekeeper 2.0.0 and we hope to see continued updates and improvements for the site! We are still working on the Whiffling Design Guide, so Whiffling MYOs are not live just yet. We are looking towards opening the Whiffling Store now that bottlecaps can be earned, so stay tuned! You'll be able to buy Whiffling MYO slots and all sorts of goodies through the Store. We are so excited to finally have the Gallery feature on site!

Hello all!
As part of our ongoing Whiffling integration on site, we are happy to announce that we have uploaded a wonderful assortment of items alongside the Whiffling currency, known as Bottlecaps (Caps for short!). Whifflings are known to collect these and other small objects as currency amongst themselves, and they do help to clean up many areas this way. They make many sorts of concoctions and potions that change their appearances as well.

We welcome you all to grab 1x Free Whifflebag from the Welcome Shop as an introduction to their system!

We already transferred the items/currencies from Whiffling Logs of all users that are registered on this site.
Users not currently registered on site are able to submit their Whiffling Log to the new Record / Log Transfers prompt! (this also doubles as the new place for Paralogos members to transfer their Library Records!)

Whiffling Achievements from the older system will not be implemented as of yet, but we are making a list of who has earned what while doing item/currency transfers and will add them officially when the achievement system goes live.

This is the first step of many on our path of moving all Whiffling ARPG features on-site.
We intend on implementing earning currency for Whiffling art submissions, MYO submissions and the Whiffling Item Shop next!

As many of you may or may not be aware, the Paralogos group is entering its 7th year of existence.

Our anniversary is March 7th!

Ahead of this, while we still await certain Lorekeeper updates for additions such as galleries, we can announce something quite exciting for all of us here at World of Lingua, and that is the formal addition of the Whifflings closed species as a character type to join Paralogos in the World of Lingua.

This does come with many shifts and changes to the Whifflings species, however no existing designs are invalidated or changed. Mostly rarity shifts, and different scent-theme categories.

This also does not change any pre-existing Paralogos lore, or Paralogos characters. Whifflings are known to interact with Paralogos, and can also have Caretakers (in a future addition!) but they have their own stories.

Over the next month, you’ll see Whifflings join our Masterlist, and their Companions also becoming interconnected to Paralogos Companions and their lore over time, they’ll fit into the world nicely!
None of the Whifflings ARPG aspects will be brought over to the site yet, this is still in the set up phase.

We thought this may be an exciting update ahead of our anniversary, and hope you will enjoy discovering them in this new World!

Stay tuned for further information as always, and not to worry, Paralogos ongoing updates and projects are still the priority.
This set-up is mainly happening while we wait on certain aspects to get updated on our site’s backend.
