Story:
Jiva was discovered as a rare Paralogos egg by a human woman named Trinity, while hiking through the Linguan wilderness on a solo "soul-searching" expedition. Together, Paralogos and caretaker lived their lives free of the modern technology that plagued the planet, insisting on living off the land and sought spiritual guidance through meditation. They spent years meditating and using herbalistic rituals to find inner peace.

Trinity's health started to decline and she was diagnosed with a progressive disease. She chose to keep to her beliefs and pursue alternative, herbalistic medicines. The treatments only delayed the inevitable, and within months Jiva found itself sitting in a hospital room watching its bonded human take her last breath. It was at this moment that Jiva begun their Wicked transformation.

It wasn't that they weren't handling their grief well - Jiva wasn't willing to grieve at all. Its word focus was "soul", and it refused to say goodbye to this soul in particular. After successfully locking Trinity's soul in its lantern, Jiva realized its true power. They could decide who transitioned to the great beyond, and who stayed.

They had the power of a god.
